Solemn Tribute to the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre: Remember History, Cherish Peace
Dear teachers and students,
Today, December 13th, marks the National Memorial Day for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre. Eighty-seven years ago, one of the darkest and most tragic chapters in human history unfolded on the land of Nanjing. Over 300,000 innocent compatriots were brutally killed, leaving countless families shattered. This painful history is an indelible memory of the Chinese nation and a profound warning in the history of world peace.
On this special day, we bow our heads in deep mourning to commemorate the innocent victims who lost their lives in the war. At the same time, we pay our highest respect to all the martyrs who courageously gave their lives for national independence and freedom.
History must not be forgotten, and peace must be safeguarded. To remember history is not to perpetuate hatred but to draw lessons from the past, cherish the hard-won years of peace, and contribute to building a brighter future.
Now, let us stand in silent tribute for one minute. Through our silent reflection, we express our heartfelt mourning and extend our sincere wishes for enduring world peace.
Let us remember the painful lessons of the Nanjing Massacre, cultivate a sense of historical responsibility, and take concrete actions to uphold the ideals of peace and development. Together, let us work hand in hand to create a prosperous and peaceful future.
Mourn deeply, rest in peace. May peace prevail, and may we strive to be stronger!
On this National Memorial Day for the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre, we pray for the well-being of the nation, the safety of its people, and the enduring tranquility of the land.
